The Woodsboro Town Council met today at 7:00 PM in the Town Hall with the following members present: Burgess Trimmer, Commissioners Morgan, Hub, Smith and Kline.

Burgess Trimmer called the meeting to order and the previous months minutes were approved.

A discussion was held on the road repair needed at Copper Oaks. It was decided that the Town of Woodsboro’s employees were not equipped to handle this type of work. Commissioner Hub would follow up.

Three building lots on James Street and Rt. 550 were approved by the Council.

Officer Barrick of the Frederick County Sheriffs Department gave a report and summary of offenses during the past year in the town. Beginning in October 2004 they will provide stat sheets showing dates and stops of patrol functions.Discussion was held on changing the curfew to 10 PM.

Discussion was held on trash and sewer billing. It was not decided if the Town would bill for both the first of October (4th Quarter) or wait until the first of the New Year.

The Korean Veterans Chapter was presented the Town of Woodsboro with two pictures of memorials built on Rt. 40 near Mt. Airy.

A petition for the annexation of the Lawson property on Coppermine Rd. was discussed. There are concerns that the pumping station would need upgraded due to the new homes being two story and higher in elevation than the Copper Oaks homes.

It was discussed that the SCADA System can not be covered by grant money. The question was does the town council continue to research the possibility of purchasing the system. Burgess Trimmer agreed to contact a company to attend the next workshop to discuss SCADA. It was noted that the Town incurred the cost for designs on two generator systems and SCADA system. Burgess Trimmer will check with ARRO to see if someone can come to the next Workshop meeting to discuss what designs are available.

Commissioner Morgan gave an update on permits for tires going to the Landfill. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
