The Woodsboro Town Council met today at
Burgess Trimmer, Commissioners Morgan, Smith, Kline and Brakebill.
Guest attending the meeting was Mr. Charles Heath, Frederick County Planning and Zoning, Ms. Janet Davis and Mr. John Feiser Frederick County Historical Preservation and Micah Douds, Boy Scout Troop 1011.
Ms. Davis spoke on the Civil War Heritage Program. A handout was distributed to the

The minutes were reviewed and with no corrections or additions approved as presented.
After brief review of the Financial Statement a motion to accept as presented was passed 4 – 0.
Mr. Charles Heath had a few questions and suggestions for the Planning and Zoning Committee. He informed the Council they are trying to keep their agenda as an agenda and not necessarily an open walk-in type meeting. He recognized the fact the meeting can not be closed off to the public and they will keep a section for “other business” where simple questions etc. can be addressed. He also reminded the Council of the 30 day notice needed for reviewing applications according to the ordinance. He also reminded the Council that Resolutions is where you list what is in the annexation agreements.
Mr. John Berkey was present with
questions on installing a mailbox in front of his house at
Burgess Trimmer reported on the MML County Legislative Dinner being held on November 16th at the Cozy Restaurant in Thurmont. He asked anyone interested in going to let him know.
Commissioner Morgan opened discussion on the cats living in the park and the problems that they are posing. The Council agreed they should be caught and turned over to Animal Control.
Burgess Trimmer reported on a meeting he attended with the County in regards to the Walkersville Region. He informed the Council it is still a working progress.
Burgess Trimmer opened discussion on the Tax Equity Program discussed at a recent MML meeting. It was mentioned that we are among one of the towns that should be reimbursed some of our cost on the Police Protection Program we have through the Sheriff’s department.
