The Woodsboro Town Council met today at 7:00 PM in the Fire Hall with the following members present: Burgess Trimmer, Commissioners Morgan, Hub, Smith and Kline.

 

The meeting was called to order by Burgess Trimmer. After a brief review of the April minutes and there being no additions or corrections, the council approved them 3-0.

 

Burgess Trimmer reviewed the financial statement with the group.  The council agreed 3-0 to move the $100,000 dollars showing as revenue in the General Fund to the Water and Sewer account.  There being no other additions or corrections the financial statement was approved 3-0.

 

Burgess Trimmer reminded the council of the Planning and Zoning meeting that would be held on Wednesday, May 11th at the town hall.

 

Burgess Trimmer opened discussion on the Appeals Board.  He informed the group that Ida Lee wishes to be removed from the committee and that Roger Hub has agreed to accept her position.  A motion was passed 3-0.

 

Burgess Trimmer presented a letter from the county on Homeland Security grant funds.  Burgess Trimmer would like to submit for fencing around wells and the SCADA system.  He will inquire further on all procedures.

 

Commissioner Morgan gave a brief overview of the Maryland Rural Water Convention that he recently attended in Ocean City.

 

The next line of business was the budget.  The group reviewed the budget.  All questions and concerns were answered.  The council asked that any inquiries be made before the workshop in May.

 

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
