The regular monthly meeting of the Woodsboro Town Council was held on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at the Fire Hall at 7:00 pm.  In attendance were Commissioners Kline, Hub, and Smith and 4 residents.

 

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM.  The minutes from the last meeting were reviewed.  There being no corrections or additions, Commissioner Hub motioned the approve the minutes.  Commissioner Smith seconded.  Passed 3-0.   

 

The treasurer’s report was reviewed.  Commissioner Smith motioned to accept the treasurer’s report as presented.  Commissioner Hub seconded.  Passed 3-0. 

 

The proposed ordinances to begin charging residents for garbage pickup and to begin billing minimum sewer on a per unit basis in multi family dwellings will be voted on at the August meeting. 

 

The American Legions Fishing Derby will hopefully be re-scheduled for something in September.

 

Commissioner Hub said there has been no action taken on the speed bumps requested for Main Street to slow traffic. 

 

Commissioner Hub said the town is currently taking bids for resurfacing Powell, Donsife and Dorsey Alleys.  Also looking into repainting crosswalks on Main Street.

 

The bond on the new wastewater treatment plant was closed the end of July.

 

There will be a Planning and Zoning meeting on Wednesday, July 14, 2003.  They will be discussing a new fee schedule.

 

The following bills were approved for payment:  Allegheny Power, Arro Consulting, AT&T, General Engineering, LAWCO, MG Inds., Mid Atlantic Co-Op, Postmaster, Roberts Electric Motors, Staples, Verizon, USDA,  AC&T, Woodsboro NAPA Auto, Key Sanitation, BB&T Frederick Underwriters, STH, AC&T, All Recreation of Maryland, Frederick Equipment, Gladhill Plumbing, GP’s Small Engine Repair, IWIF, Knott & Geisbert, MML, B Equip., H. C. Summers, Ripleyvale Farms, Trout’s Market, Woodsboro Florist, and MAMSI.

      

There being no further business to discuss, Commissioner Smith motioned to adjourn.  Commissioner Hub seconded.  Passed 3-0.
